This year we will be electing two board terms, one for a term of 3 years and the other for a term of 2. Our nomination process and our selections for nomination will be collected by our membership, and curated by our Nomination Committee. Church leadership and serving on a church board is a high calling that requires expertise, wisdom, and excellence. Jesse Vieira
Who Are You?
My name is Jesse and my wife Nicole and I have been married for 20 years, and we are the proud parents to Ryan, Clara, and Luke. On the professional side, I have been with Petra Lab X since 1998, where I currently serve as the Manufacturing Operations Manager. My career has been built on long-term commitment and managing the moving parts that keep an organization running smoothly. I enjoy serving where there is a practical need.
How Long Have You Been Attending SPC?
My family and I have been attending SPC since 2017. It has been a joy to call this church home for the past nine years.
Where are You Currently Serving Our Church?
Currently, I serve in the following areas:
Production Team: I handle sound for our live stream and front of house, and assist with other various production related tasks.
Men’s Ministry: I am a member of the leadership team that plans and executes our men's events.
Volunteer Support: I regularly help serve for Share Day, led by my wife Nicole, and jump in to support various other church events whenever an extra hand is needed.
It’s been inspiring to see the church thrive over the past few years, particularly the growth in our Kids and Youth ministries.
What are you excited for about the future of our church?
As a parent, having strong programs for our children is incredibly important to me. I’m also excited by our increased focus on community outreach. I believe SPC has only just begun to unlock its full potential, and I would love to help support and guide that continued growth.
Blaine Hockley
Who Are You?
Hi, my name is Blaine Hockley. First of all, I am a Christian, I love Jesus and I am grateful to be His child, saved by grace. I am happily married to Cheryl for 41 years and we have 4 grown boys. Three whom are married and am also blessed with 2 Grandsons. I finished a career in the auto industry and now work part time in the funeral business.
How Long Have You Been Attending SPC?
I have been attending SPC for 8 years.
Where are You Currently Serving Our Church?
I am on the Welcome team and greet people at the door,
a table leader for Small Groups and currently served 2 years on the Church Board.
What are you excited for about the future of our church?
What really excites me now and for the future are the new young families and the spiritual learning climate we all have. We are definitely a church that cares for all ages and this speaks clearly as God showers His blessings over our obedience and lives.
